Most countries have faced financial and economic setbacks in recent years, some worse than others. But unlike many of the countries, Asia and the Pacific has some additional burdens to bear. Storms, floods, drought, and other climate changes over the last couple years have caused damage and mass migration that is costing unknown sums of money and causing millions of people to become misplaced.
But there is hope. As part of the Green Climate Fund (GEF) and the International Organization of Migration (IOM) has plans to help fund almost 3,000 projects in 168 developing countries. All of the projects will be “green” and environmentally friendly and will help communities adapt to the changes in climate. It is a project that will really benefit everyone, from a hotel in Bangkok, Thailand to flood victims in Bangladesh. For more information visit ipsnews.net
I am really sorry about the victims of those natural disasters. Now I am glad they will get some help. I hope they won’t have any more difficulties like until now.
Finally some project that is promising. So far there wasn’t some real help worth to mention which would prevent and help that much. GEF and IOM should do well Imo. Hope they do.
It isn’t imaginable how much those people suffer from those disasters. Great thing is that the humanity isn’t dead and someone is still trying to help and solve their problems. Asia was like doomed in the last few years, they really need help.
